Joan Michaels Denney
(August 28, 1936 – October 22, 2009)
The painting resting on this easel was painted by Joan Michaels Denney. Joan was a beloved Cheshire resident for almost half a century until her sudden death on Oct. 22, 2009. Joan’s enthusiasm for life affected all of us fortunate enough to have known her through work or volunteer activities. This painting embarks on a journey and will travel throughout Cheshire per the following schedule:
January 2012 – March 10, 2012: Cheshire Parks & Rec
March 11, 2012 – April 30, 2012: Cheshire Academy
May 1, 2012 – July 31, 2012: Cheshire Public Library
August 1. 2012 – Oct 21, 2012: Cheshire Town Hall
October 22, 2012 : Return to CPFA Artsplace
The journey of this beautiful painting, one of her final pieces, will serve to remind us of the importance the creation of art has on the human spirit. We know Joan enjoyed painting this, but we believe she would delight more-so in the thought that are you enjoying it throughout Cheshire.
The objective of CPFA/Artsplace is to promote the arts in Cheshire.
